Meet Kevin Pearson Today.

“In these challenging and uncertain times, now more than ever we need our public servants listening and leading.  I want to provide safe and affordable utilities for the people of Louisiana and I want to do it in a way that will lead us out of the darkness and into a brighter and more prosperous future for our children.

Many in the Southeastern Louisiana community may recognize me as a legislator. I served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2008-2019. During my tenure in the legislature, I was appointed Chairman of the House State Retirement Committee. As Chairman, I was also board member to Louisiana’s thirteen pension systems which manage more than $30 billion in assets. My knowledge of complex state systems and laws makes me a uniquely qualified candidate for the position of Public Service Commissioner.

I also served as a member of the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation and a member of the Louisiana Rural Caucus.

Outside of my legislative career, I have spent over thirty-five years providing wealth management solutions to clients across the United States with my business based in Slidell, where I have been a lifelong resident.

In the community, I served as a Board Member of the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center, and Leadership Northshore. As Former President of Slidell Rotary Club through Hurricane Katrina, I co-founded Rotary Rebuilds Slidell and helped our community come back stronger.

I have been married to my wife Nancy for thirty-eight years. We have two adult children – Adam, who works in group benefits, and Rebecca, who works in finance. Nancy has spent many years working as a teacher and an educator, all the while working along side of me to better the community. When I’m not working, I enjoy gardening, fishing, and visiting new places.”
